I’d so much rather this page was about you…
That’s my training as a journalist (first) and a marketer (second) coming through. But it’s also that I love meeting new people and finding out their stories, what they love, what they know, where they’ve been and what they’ve learned.
But, this page is here so you can get to know me. Awkward! But, here it goes.
“You’re a fine specimen of contrast and urbanism in a remote canyon of oak and sage. You’re sheer poetry.”
My neighbor wrote that about me (isn’t that amazing?), and I liked it so much that I wrote it on a yellow sticky note and pasted it on my bookshelf by my desk. She captured the part of me that I like best: Contrast.
I was the kid wearing the pink frilly princess dress under the plastic suit of armor on the playground. Knight or princess? I demanded BOTH!
That’s not to say I’m one of those Women Who Do It All. Heck no. That sounds exhausting. I do a lot, but one thing at a time, like a normal person.
To understand me, you’ve got to start with my home town. I grew up in a crazy-wonderful place: The Santa Ynez Valley in California. It’s an hour north of Santa Barbara and has grape vines sprouting out of every hill and dale.
Three types of people lived in the Valley during my formative years: hippies, evangelical Christians, and celebrities. I didn’t fall into any of these categories, so I hung out with the hippy kids, the ones who believed in the power of sage and chaparral to heal all wounds, who carried kindness to an extreme, and who made things with their hands and hearts. They are my people. My foundation.
But readers – I have to tell you something. I’m a Virgo. Perfectionistic, over-achiever, lady-like to a fault. Want to pick me out in a crowd? Look for the woman wearing the dress with the petticoat. Gosh I love a good petticoat. Find me at home though, and I’ll be in yoga pants covered with dirt from my gardening projects. And, I will unfailingly offer you tea.
I like frilly dresses and getting dirty. I work fast, but need to take breathers (and sleep). Nothing lights me up like hearing someone’s story and telling it to someone else. I think the most compelling kind of marketing isn’t a sales funnel or a formula – it comes from personal, heart-to-heart connections. My personal brand of magic is building those connections in ways that feel good.
If my kinda person sounds like your kinda person – let’s work together!
You have a huge heart, and a voice people gravitate towards. You’ve figured out a thing or two about life, and your mission is to share it with those who can use it.
You’ve found your calling, and while you’re out working in the world in a way that supports you, your goal isn’t to make the most money possible. Gosh, this sounds like me – but I’m really talking about you.
My job is to put your wisdom into words that will bring the right people to you – the ones who need your message most. And, I don’t believe that slapping my idea of a sales funnel or formula onto your business is the right way to do it. My approach is to find ways to speak to the deepest needs and desires of your audience – and that is a very individual thing.
Be who you are. Do your work in the world. I believe in your work.

– Nichole Elizabeth DeMeré, SaaS marketing strategist, Customer Success evangelist
Lauren is a great copywriter! She always goes the extra mile to research the topic she is writing about and the result is a spot-on, short and crisp article that perfectly resonates with the target we are aiming to reach. She is incredibly fast in getting the job done and never missed a deadline. All this said, I suggest you DO NOT hire her because this would mean for us to have to share her attention with you 🙂
